The IFAF World Cup (also known as the American Football World Cup, the Gridiron World Cup, or the World Championship of American Football) is an international American football competition contested by teams representing member nations. The competition is run by the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), and consists of a qualification round and a final tournament. The championship has been awarded three times since the inaugural 1999 cup, with the next competition scheduled to be held in 2011.
